Using Government Funding to help with fees.

The kindergarten is registered with Devon County Council to offer the EYF (Early Years Funding)) to 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

As per government and Devon County Council guidelines Venture Outdoor Kindergarten charges for additional services that are beyond the standard day-care nursery or preschool provision. This is the voluntary Outdoor Resource Fund payment which enables us to provide high quality outdoor education for our children. Primarily the Outdoor Resource Fund enables us to maintain high adult to child ratios /provide a high proportion of qualified teachers as staff /  provide qualified Forest and Beach School practitioners / pay for a licence to operate on National Trust land.

If a parent uses EYF they will be invoiced for a voluntary payment of £7.68 per day.

If a parent already uses EYF to pay another provider, they may use any left over funding to pay part of their child's fees at Venture Outdoor Kindergarten.

If a parent uses EYF during the first term of attendance onwards, they may request a refund of the £30 registration fee following their child’s first term of attendance by emailing Alternatively, the registration fee may be donated to Venture’s Outdoor Resource Fund.

No refund of the registration fee will be made should the child not attend the kindergarten.

Please note that your child is entitled to 570 hours of funding per year (for 15 hours) or 1140 hours (for 30 hours). Anything after this will be charged by us.

If you are eligible for 30 hour funding please ensure that you have given us the code as soon as possible. If the 30 hour funding deadline is missed, you will be charged for your child’s sessions. Please also remember to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months otherwise your code will expire.
